What should I pack in my hospital bag? I see this question asked a lot and this is a great question. I know I was a little overwhelmed at the thought of packing our hospital bag but it doesn't need to be overwhelming and it shouldn't be. This is an exciting time and I'm sure you have so many other things to do to prepare for baby so we have designed a printable checklist on what to bring for the whole family for your hospital stay.
Many woman admit to packing way too much for the hospital, they do not use more than half of the things that they thought they would. Most hospitals will provide you with diapers and wipes for the baby as well as postpartum pads, witch hazel tucks and underwear. If you choose to formula feed your baby that will also be provided to you. One thing that has been taken out of the hospitals in this area is a pacifier, so make sure you remember to pack one if that is something you would like to use.
We kept our list simple and practical with the things that we think you will actually use at your stay. If you end up staying longer than anticipated you can always send a family member home to grab something for you.
